tantei milky opera holmes is a multimedia project created by bushiroad. the franchise follows four young girls modelled as homages to famous detectives: sherlock holmes, nero wolfe, hercule barton, and cordelia gray. they possess magical powers as "toys", which they use to defeat criminals and keep the city safe. perhaps the most well-known adaption of the show is the anime, a comedy that sees the girls losing their toys and becoming laughably stupid as a result. other iterations include psp games, an internet radio drama, a trading card game, light novels, and a manga. the voice actresses of the four girls were part of a comedy group named after the show, which sadly disbanded in 2019.
sherlock shellingford
shellingford is essentially the leader of the group, and is based on the famous decective known as sherlock holmes. while she is quite airheaded, she is also bright and cheerful, and always looks out for her friends. her toys give her the power to use telekinesis, a very useful skill for both fighting and solving puzzles.
nero yuzurizaki
nero yuzurizaki is the tomboy of the group, based on nero wolfe. she's selfish, bold, and childish in nature, but has a mature and caring side to her. she loves to eat food and is almost always seen munching on something. her toys grant her the ability of technopathy, making her able to manipulate machines and sense bioelectricity.
hercule barton
a timid, soft-spoken girl, based upon... well, hercule barton. in spite of such a nervous personality, she is given superhuman strength by her toys. she also has a bit of a... weird side to her, fantasizing about some WEIRD things in her free time.
cordelia glauce
perhaps the most bizarre member of the group, cordelia is based on cordelia gray. she is theatric, sensitive, and girly in nature, and is also afraid of being in the dark. her toys give her superhuman senses, which sometimes lead to sensory overload.
